Description: A single pack sealng compound designed for filling and sealing compressor blade roots at high temperatures with resistance to aircraft fluids and minimum expansion and contraction up to 400°C (750°F). Feature: Resistant to a wide range of fuels, oils, solvents and heat up to 650°C (1205°F). After a minimum of 24 hours air drying, this product will stand up to 400°C (750°F) for 4 hours without cracking.
This material is designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other air-craft fuselage sealing applications. The cured sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas. PR-1770 Class B is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured Permapol? P-5 polysulfide compound. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
PR-1735 is a one-part adhesion promoter for use on metals, glass and solvent resistant coatings to promote the adhesion of Viton* sealants. PR-1735 contains a solvent and a surface activator agent.
NML 35 is a 2 part epxoy based, non-flowing high strength and general bonding adhesive used in aero engine applications such as bonding PTFE pads onto fan discs.
Edge sealing minimizes the adverse effects of rigorous use or prolonged or severe exposure conditions by providing water and contaminant-tight seal between a graphic film and substrate. It is required for some 3M warranted graphics (refer to the base film's Product Bulletin for details).
